ANGRY YOUTH ATTACK POLICE STATION IN LAGOS OVER KILLING



Oshodi town of Lagos state was driven into pandemonium yesterday as Makinde police station was raided by youths over the alleged killing of one Rafiu Adeniji by some policemen.
It was gathered that a team of policemen along capitol road agege shot the deceased on Sunday night. According to our source, trouble started at about 10.03 am when news of the death of the deceased got to his brother who runs a hotel in the area “it was the hotel owner who mobilized some youths to protest the killing of his brother by a police patrol team” the source explained.
Vehicular movement around oshodi and its environs were interrupted by the incident but the Deputy Public Relations officer of the Lagos police command Damasus Ozoani in a statement said that “what happened was that a young man identified as Rafiu Adeniji was shot by unknown persons at Agege area on Sunday. The man was alleged to have been taken to a hospital at Oshodi”. Damasus assured that nobody was injured in the incident.
